missed connections, part 4.

Me: a slender twentysomething wearing a sea-foam/ash-grey t-shirt, a red striped hoodie, jeans, and carrying a bright yellow backpack.

You: a mid to late twenties salesman in a black shirt with a striped tie who I could see texting your friend on bus route 8 yesterday. I believe your words to him were "theres a crazy hot chick behind me on the bus but i dont want to turn around and make it obvious", which I could read over your shoulder. I could read this over your shoulder because I was behind you. The only person behind you in fact.

While I realize my lack of an American Eagle polo may have proven confusing given the rigid gender binary society expects us to follow, I hardly think it was enough to merit a blunder of this proportion. Maybe in the future taking a second glance might not be a bad idea...

missed connections, part 3.

Me: a slender twentysomething wearing a dark grey t-shirt, black hoodie, skinny jeans, and carrying a beige tote bag.

You: a fortysomething East Indian man wearing a black Umbro shirt who, with smiling lips slightly parted, tongue flitting in & out, and eyes bulging in a decidedly arthropod-like manner, spent the hour or so of bus route 33 straining your neck to turn around and eye rape me yesterday.

I just wanted to thank you for reminding me as to why I lock my doors at night.

Like a seed in the ground.

In the off chance that you missed it, I'm deeply in lust with Patrick Watson.
